The Company was established back in 1974 with the advent of the revolutionary "Speedy" folding trolley, conceived and realized by the Company founder, Giancarlo Pezzani. The name Speedy, as indicates, derived from the extraordinary easiness and speed to open and close and operate this home accessory. The success of this item was immediate and the Company expanded in the field of gift articles by also adding to its production line tea–trolleys and trays made of high quality steel and glass. New sales were directed to foreign markets, in particular to Europe, the Middle East and Mediterranean area, which historically are markets keen on products of Italian design.

BACKGROUND

1992 – Creation and Introduction of the Disegno Collection
As of 1992 Giancarlo Pezzani's sons Massimo, Cristiano and Giovanni take the place of the founder in the Company management and decide to expand and develop the trade in the furniture field. Thus is born the Disegno Collection, a collection consisting of small articles of furniture such as kitchen carts, PC racks and entryway furniture – and for the first time, wood is used as a component material. By remaining faithful to the principle from which Speedy derives its original inspiration, which is that of bringing out the functionality of its items using simple and contemporary lines, we have created items of innovative design obtained by the harmonic synthesis of unique materials such as steel, glass and genuine wood. These items were conceived based on our experience and craftsmanship expertise, blending together the most advanced technologies to create a line of very high quality products.

2000 – Development and Distribution in Italy
We optimize the distribution in the entire region of Italy thanks to the careful and detailed organization of a network of skilled agents. Shortly thereafter, 2,500 national retailers distribute our products and Speedy becomes an important protagonist of the Italian and foreign markets, becoming a household name.

2002 – Enlargement of our facilities
Doubling of our manufacturing area and warehouse. A brand new building for Administration and Marketing Departments is built; one floor being reserved to display our permanent showroom.

2006 – Luminaire Collection
Presentation of our Luminaire Collection. A collection of lights (floor–lamps, table–lamps and hanging–lamps) intended to complement the Disegno Collection, thus increasing the range of items available to our loyal customers. The collection obtained an immediate success and it is now an integral part of our product line.

2007 – Presentation of Operha Collection
An ambitious project that once again yielded immediate results for our visibility and qualification, reinforcing the presence of our Company in the market medium–high retailers segment. The main characteristic making our collection unique: its genuine wood frames with precious silver or gold leaf finishing that, along with other classical art references and appeal, meet with the most innovative and modern design to create elegant and sophisticated furnishings and home accessories.

2008 - Pforyou Project
The Company begins to trade in the segment of tables and chairs with quality items at an affordable price. Other items will be added to the Collection, offering more and more high quality items at competitive prices.

2011 – The Turning Point Year
As the Company continues to grow and evolve, we no longer identify with its original name. For this reason, to better reflect who we have become, the Management has decided to change its brand from SPEEDY into PEZZANI HOME COLLECTION. The new brand name, which directly makes use of the Pezzani family name, the Company founder and owner, will better identify itself as an Italian design company and makes reference to the trading field in a more direct way. A daring marketing decision that we believe will produce even greater results going forward in the future, and truly reflecting the transformation that the Company has undergone during its history.

PEZZANI LAB

A way to think and to do where different experiences meet themselves: conceptualism and formal study of designers and the artisanal experience in which the company was born.
The union of these two different ways of thinking and doing, together with

the contamination of the most recent market trends, create Pezzani Home collection items. They are characterized by the essential design, the using of traditional but renewed materials, the continuous research of quality and functionality which distinguish each of our item.
